Chromes have been highly praised on many forums and reviews for having a quality that justifies what can be a higher pricetag than many other flatwounds. The strings strike a really favorable balance between the smooth feel and diminished finger noise of flats, while still being clear and bright enough to sound good in the mix. Highly recommended.

Here is a video that really lets you hear the chromes with a variety of EQ and playing styles. I find the clarity and variety of sounds available really impressive, especially for a smooth flatwound string.
