The Stainless Bass Flatwounds from Fender are highly polished, very smooth, shiny strings with high tension. There are two versions with different gauges, the 9050L (.045-0.95) and the 9050ML (.050-.100). Both sets have a lot of "thump" in the attack. The 0.50 G string in the ML version is often preferred over the .45 L version, as it is fuller and fatter without the "twangy" character that you can get with the .045 L version- but some may like that brightness in the G string.
