These unique strings are often called “hybrid” for being nickel wrapped on top of stainless steel, and are advertised as “extra bright” from Rotosound. These strings are higher tension, and produce a full frequency response with plenty of low end as well as the mids and highs you could expect from the steel/nickel construction of the string.
