Fender Nylon Filament Roundwound Bass Strings

Fender Nylon Filament Roundwound

Fender Nylon Filament Roundwound

If you like the feel and overall character of nylon strings but find them too dark, this is an excellent string for you. These use nylon material but are roundwound with a hex core, making them a brighter option than the original nylon tapewounds.

These strings are nylon roundwounds, the only of their kind. They are very durable with excellent lifespan. As you might expect, the tension on these strings is quite low, which may require a softer touch or higher string height. They have a deep, thumpy sound that can work particularly well for older rock styles or emulating an old school upright bass sound. The gauge on these strings is .070 .080 .090 .100 -- those D and G strings are larger than many, and may require some opening of the slots at the nut.

**Be sure to check out the Bass String guide if you are unsure about the material, gauge (the numbers you see like .105 .45 etc,) or scale length.**

Check out the string reviews if you would like to hear feedback from others about a particular string.
